Fan Bing Bing graces on magazines in late 2010

Fan Bingbing (born 16 September 1981) is a Chinese actress and Mandopop singer.

Fan was born and raised in Qingdao, Shandong. She graduated from Shanghai Xie Jin's Star School and Shanghai Theatre Academy. In 1997, Fan rose to stardom for her supporting role as Jin Suo in the Taiwanese television sitcom Princess Pearl and its sequel in 1998, which starred Zhao Wei and Ruby Lin in the leading roles. Over the next few years, through appearances in many films and television dramas, she became one of the more well-known actresses in Mainland China. After achieving success in her acting career, Fan also released albums, posed for magazine covers and became a spokesperson for several commercial brands.


In 2007, Fan started her own studio, Fan Bingbing Workshop (范冰冰工作室). The studio's first television production was Rouge Snow, followed by Jin Da Ban De Zuihou Yiye in 2008. Fan started an arts school in Huairou, Beijing, and served as its principal, but the school was actually run by her parents. She also became the leader of the acting team of West Movie Group (西影集团)'s arts center, and was popularly referred to as "China's Monica Bellucci".

In 2010, Fan was ranked 10th in the Forbes China Celebrity 100. She also appeared on the Shanghai International Film Festival's red carpets in 2010.

Taiwanese Actress and Pop Singer Ruby Lin in Fashion Weekly

Ruby Lin (Chinese: 林心如; pinyin: Lín Xīnrú; born 27 January 1976 in Taipei, Taiwan) is a Taiwanese actress and pop singer. Her English name is from her mother's love of the jewel.

Lin made her acting debut in a TV commercial in Taiwan. When she received her first experience in front of the camera in 1995 for a minor role, she started to develop a passion for acting. In 1997, after playing supporting roles in various Taiwanese TV dramas, she met her breakout role as a leading actress in the television series Princess Pearl and its sequel, Princess Pearl II. In 1999, after Princess Pearl was broadcast, she also began a singing career with her first album, a five track EP.

Lin has acted in a variety of roles, such as the sassy Jian Ning princess in Duke of Mount Deer 2000, the cruel assassin Cai Yue in Flying Daggers, the gentle-natured Man Zhen in Half Life Fate, the middle-aged housewife in Ancestral Temple and spunky tomboy Sun Shangxiang in Three Kingdoms. For her achievement in movie and television series, Korean media called her as Taiwanese No.1 actress and goddess of Chinese ancient series.

In 2010, Ruby Lin announce the establishment of her own company - Ruby Lin Studio. Taiwan media reports the company will deal with all aspect of the actress's career including her acting, singing and film roles.
