Meet Minissha Lamba, hot Bollywood actress!

Petite and adorable, Minissha Lamba bagged several modeling ops before gravitating towards cinema.

Minissha Lamba’s birthday is on 18th January. A 1985 born, she was born in to a Sikh family. Her parents are in the hospitality industry.
She studied for a while at Chettinand Vidyashram, Chennai. Miranda House, New Delhi is where she pursued a degree in English, while dabbling in modeling. It was not long before movie offers went her way.
She worked in commercials like Cadbury’s, Airtel, Sunsilk, Sony, LG and Hajmola.
The Lamba Story
Shoojit Sarkar’s Yahaan (2005) saw her in the role of Adaa. Though the movie didn’t garner a huge response, her presence was noted. Madhur Bhandarkar’s Corporate (2006) was a big hit. Rocky: The Rebel and Anthony Kaun Hai were her other releases in 2006 that didn’t make waves on the same scale as Corporate.
The multi-starrer comedy Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd (2007) saw her as one of a perfect couple Zara who moonlights as Superwoman. Her other release Dus Kahaniyan failed at the box office.
Her most talked about movies in 2008, both of which turned out to be average performers, were Bachna Hai Haseeno with Ranbir Kapoor and Kidnap with Imran Khan



Lamba's long term ambition was to become a journalist. While studying for a degree in Delhi, Lamba pursued modelling as a hobby and soon became a well-placed model in the Indian modelling industry. Lamba's early modelling work includes several television commercials for companies such as LG, Sony, Titan watches, Cadbury, Hajmola, Airtel, Sunsilk, among others. She has also done a music video (Tera Suroor) for the hit music album Aap Ka Suroor by Himesh Reshammiya.

Her first movie "Yahaan", which was directed by Shoojit Sircar, was released in 2005. Critics praised the movie citing Lamba's performance as one of the highlights. In 2008, she acted in Siddharth Anand's film Bachna Ae Haseeno which also starred Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead roles. This movie was produced by Yashraj Films. Her next major role was in the Shyam Benegal film Well Done Abba (2010), which was highly acclaimed at the Cannes Film Festival.

She is currently shooting for Shirish Kunder's Joker, in which she will star opposite Shreyas Talpade.

She has also posed for Maxim India.
